Kellan Lutz Afraid Of Freddy

While Kellan Lutz plays a scary creature in the "Twilight Saga" -- if you call a vegetarian vampire scary, that is -- it's his next role in the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" remake that has him really frightened. You see, it seems Lutz's connection to the flick and its bad guy, Freddy Krueger, runs all the way to his childhood.

"That was one of the movies that actually scared me growing up," Lutz told MTV News about the 1984 remake, due out on April 30. "My brothers were the biggest threat growing up with all the poundings, but Jason and Chucky weren’t too scary. I laughed at them. Clowns are funny to me."

As much as a laugh riot as those creepy horror movie classic killers were to Lutz, there was something incredibly eerie about Freddy for him. So much so that it made sleeping a difficult task for the actor. Lutz, who may or may not be the Johnny Depp of the reboot, added, "But something that can attack you in your sleep, that’s scary because how do you fight that off? You're sleeping."

Awhile back, MTV News learned from the director himself, Samuel Bayer, that Kellan and his fellow dreamwalkers are fending off a Freddy Krueger who is a lot less comical than ever before. "You know, I think my Freddy is just a bit more serious," he said. "We delve into Freddy's background a little bit more. It's a very similar background to what we know about him, but... I think it's going to be a unique kind of homage to Wes's original film."

Summit replaces editor on 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'

Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the uber-successful Twilight series, confirmed this morning that it has replaced Eclipse editor Art Jones with Nancy Richardson, the editor of Catherine Hardwicke’s original Twilight film. The studio is not placing blame on Jones, who previously worked with Eclipse director David Slade on his horror film 30 Days of Night as well as Slade’s Ellen Page-starrer Hard Candy. They do believe, however, that Slade’s material – which they call “very good” – needed a stronger edit. The studio has more confidence in Richardson, who they say understands the emotion of the characters and is an ace at balancing action with the other elements of the film.

Richardson recently completed Miley Cyrus’ upcoming romantic drama The Last Song. Eclipse is scheduled to debut on June 30.

One of the things we love about John Henson who has created the Twilight Costume Collection (filled with actual and replica costumes from the movies) is John’s attention to detail. Seriously nothing, and we do mean NOTHING gets by John. He wants things down to the lining in the jacket to be correct. If you doubt us just ask him about Bella’s St. Jude’s bracelet and you will get a whole lesson in beads, pictures, stringing etc.

John is also the mastermind who designed the costumes for the Hillywood Show’s New Moon parody. John even has a bit part in the video where he plays the tattoo artist. He was so well camouflaged we didn’t even realize that it was him at first!

Anyway, John came to us with a very interesting piece of information the other day. John wrote, “I’m not sure if you’ve seen it or if it’s been brought to your attention, but Mattel’s new “Jacob Black” doll has his Quileute tribal tattoo painted UPSIDE DOWN on his arm. I noticed it when the first prototype pictures were being posted on the internet, and I didn’t call Mattel because I figured that EVERYTHING would change on the actual consumer model. WRONG! I picked up two dolls for the collection yesterday and I was a bit miffed. I can see the oversight…the tattoo is very complex and when your dealing with a replica that’s 1/4” scale…blah blah. So…. I called Mattel this morning. I talked to a lovely gal named Linda who took all of my information. I told her how important this little detail is to the fans and she’s getting the query to the “engineers” immediately. So…feel free to post this information so everyone can run out and buy this initial run of Jacob dolls…it was a limited supply run and now with this error they might be little investments for the future!!!”

So far Mattel hasn’t called back. it will be interesting to see it they fix this in the next run, as John says the “flawed dolls” could be a collectible.

Kellan Lutz Excited About Twilight Future

Kellan Lutz is looking forward to the future of the Twilight movie franchise.

The actor takes on the role of Emmett in the hit movies and he will be returning to the big screen this summer with Eclipse, the third movie in the franchise.

Speaking to MTV the actor said: "I love being my character, Emmett, and I love this franchise. I love the actors, the production teams, the directors.

"It's great to love a job in a way that has continuous projects with it, so I hope Stephenie Meyer writes another book that we get to act in also."

New Moon was one of the biggest grossing movies of 2009 taking $706 million at the global box office.

Despite being poorly received by the critics Twilight fans were out in their droves to support the movie.

Kristen Stewart revealed last week that no decision had been made as to whether the four book Breaking Dawn would be split into two movies.

However Lutz backs the idea of making two further movies: "I really hope we're able to do that."

Anna Kendrick Keeping It In The Family

Anna Kendrick won't be bringing any beau to the Oscars next Sunday. The Up in the Air star is planning to make the star-studded event a family affair.

The 24-year-old former actress, who pulled double duty in the Twilight Saga, told E! News she's bringing her mom and brother as dates to the glitzy awards show.

"I'm flying them out. I'm so excited," Kendrick said Saturday at Zac Posen's celebration for his new Z Spoke collection in Beverly Hills. "My mom wants to meet George Clooney."

Inside of the private dinner at Mr. Chow alongside the likes of Rachel Bilson, Emma Roberts and Nicky Hilton, Kendrick dished on how she's staying cool until the big day.

While she's trying to relax and enjoy the awards season, Kendrick admitted she's been under more stress than usual. She couldn't even watch the Oscar nomination annoucement.

"I was too nervous to sit and watch the nominations, so I went for a run at five in the morning," Kendrick said. "I just waited for my roommate to text me. And then it was actually really nice because I was sort of alone in the dark. I kind of wanted to shout, but I didn't want to wake everyone up at 5:30 in the morning."

While Kendrick has no problem talking up her Oscar dates, she is keeping mum about her Oscar dress.

"I'm not allowed to talk about what I wear," Kendrick said. "But I'm going to try it on in a few days and it's beautiful. I'm really excited about it. It's a designer that I've worn [before]."

Kendrick said that while having the top-secret gown custom-made from a sketch left her feeling a little like a "human mannequin," she is looking forward to picking out her jewels.

"That's going to be the fun part," Kendrick said. "That's the part where I get to play."

Word is a Victorian water pump house in Kent has been rented to film the top secret salacious naked stuff. The building will be turned into a 19th Century French decorated drawing room to shoot the mass sex scenes.

"In Twilight, it's all pent-up passion. But these scenes will leave nothing to the imagination, " the Sun reports. And we all know how great a source for 'Twilight' news they are.

But the source added: "It will be tastefully done with lots of candlelights and lace but it will be the sexiest thing he's ever been seen in and will get his female fans even more excited."

The Twilight star plays Georges Duroy, a handsome writer who climbs to the top by seducing and manipulating his wealthy mistresses. The film is based on the classic novel by Guy de Maupassant.

Rpattz Weighs in on Breaking Dawn 3D Gives Him a Headache

something tells us the prospect of more Pattz may be a big part of your mass desire for Breaking Dawn to be a two-parter. While the fourth and final installment of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series has plenty going on—weddings, babies and, of course, a final showdown or two—the official decision to break it down into a pair of movies has yet to be made.

Kristen Stewart told us earlier this month that she's with you! She thinks the book "absolutely warrants" a double-feature and "it would be hard to cram all of it into one movie."

But what does the world's hottest sparkle vamp think?

Unlike other things, Pattz isn't allergic to the idea. In his true, laid-back fashion, he's just going with the flow.

"I don't mind either way," he admits to E! News during the Remember Me press junket in New York City on Saturday.

Two movies would mean extended action sequences (yeah, that kind of action) with K.Stew, so we have to imagine he really wouldn't mind.

Despite the many rumors circulating about "Breaking Dawn," the final installment in the Twilight saga, it seems as though no progress has been made on the movie's production in the three months since "New Moon" was released. And while the movie's stars seem just as clueless about the big production decisions as everyone else, there seems to be a similar trend in their line of thinking.

The biggest question surrounding "Breaking Dawn" — and the first decision that needs to be made in order for contract deals and production to begin — is whether the story will be split into two films. Despite numerous rumors that seem to lean one way or the other, everyone's opinion seems to depend on the script.

While promoting his upcoming film "Remember Me," leading man Robert Pattinson said he still doesn't know whether "Breaking Dawn" will be made as one film or two. As to his preference, Pattinson answered that "it really just depends on the script, either way."

This echoes his co-star Kristen Stewart's opinion on the matter, which she offered while promoting "The Runaways" at the Sundance Film Festival in January. "I haven't seen a script, but I'm not alone in really, really wondering how they're going to handle that," she said at the time.

"Twilight Saga" scribe Stephenie Meyer also voiced similar sentiments back in mid-January when there was a rumor that she was against "Breaking Dawn" being two movies. "Two or one, whichever way fits the story best is fine by me," Meyer announced on her Web site. "And everyone I've spoken with at Summit seems to feel the same way."

Pattinson also addressed the rumors about "Breaking Dawn" being filmed in 3-D and, as Stewart indicated in an interview for "The Yellow Handkerchief," was against the idea.

"The 3-D thing confuses me," Pattinson said. "I haven't seen 'Avatar' or any of these 3-D movie things yet. The idea of it ... I remember 3-D movies from when I was a kid, and I can just picture it giving me a headache."

Kristen is set to promote her new movie, “The Runaways” and Robert will be promoting his “Remember Me’ film. With "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" actor Taylor Lautner's upcoming movie schedule seemingly stretched to the limit, the budding action star has reportedly decided to drop out of Paramount's "Max Steel" in favor of Universal's "Stretch Armstrong."

According to New York magazine, the 18-year-old will pursue "Armstrong," based on toy manufacturer Hasbro's celebrated action-figure franchise, instead of "Max Steel," which is based on a product from Mattel, a rival of Hasbro's. Although Lautner was set to headline both films, the young "Twilight" actor allegedly sided with Hasbro due to the company's impressive track record in Hollywood.

"[In] the weeks after signing on to play Steel, Lautner became increasingly convinced that Hasbro was playing its hand better than Mattel," states the report. "Thanks to WME [Entertainment, Lautner's agency], Hasbro was moving with far greater speed through Hollywood's development maze than Mattel, not only setting up projects, but quickly moving them forward."

Hasbro has already seen movies based on their popular "Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" franchises. Additionally, the toy company has production plans for "Candy Land," "Battleship" and "Risk" adaptations. As one insider told the magazine, "When you sign up to make a movie with Hasbro, you know it will be in theaters a year later."

The report also states that "Monster vs. Aliens" director Rob Letterman is speaking with Universal Pictures about directing "Stretch Armstrong" for the studio.

Lautner landed the title role in "Stretch Armstrong" earlier this month. He'll star as an uptight spy who is exposed to a formula that allows him to stretch his body beyond normal human limitations. Given his new powers, the hero is forced to reconsider not only his own crime-fighting tactics, but also how he goes about his everyday life.

"He's an accidental superhero. Really what he is, is he's going to be a guy much like [Lautner] himself," explained Hasbro CEO and "Stretch Armstrong" producer Brian Goldner in a recent exclusive interview with MTV News. "A guy who knows mixed martial arts, a guy who is going off to college, a guy who's trying to have a freshman year at college something along those lines and everything kind of ensues from there."

The Universal film is slated for a 3-D release in 2012. In addition to "Armstrong," Lautner is signed on to star in "Cancun," martial arts-focused action film.

A lucky fan at Macbeth last night that twittered she did in fact see Rob and Kristen at the pub together, tho she only took a pic with R.Pattz. Don't you love technology nowadays?

British politician Nicolas Clark (who has had to protect his tweets since most likely getting hounded by Twi-hards) also twittered Tuesday night he saw Rob and Kristen at the Marquis of Granby share "just a couple of kisses on the lips," later adding "R+K were acting like a couple."

Then, after getting twitter-tipped that R & K were out together Wednesday night, we were able to confirm they did in fact grab "a bite to eat and a few drinks" at the Halfmoon pub in London, before watching R.Pattz's little sister Lizzy perform.

Just loving how comfortable these two are across the pond, aren't you? We're feeling so selfless that we just say stay there! Less paps and attention, for sure.

Before Robsten played footsie at sundry pubs in London, another one of our fave studs made his way back to L.A....

It looks like we aren’t the only ones who can’t seem to forget Taylor Lautner’s sexy spread for Rolling Stone from December ‘09 — Matt Lanter, the bad boy from 90210, struck the same exact pose for a recent photo shoot! He twit-pic’ed this preview on Feb. 23, and while he looks super hot posing, we couldn’t help but notice the similarities between him and Taylor! From the flexing of the right arm to the hair grab, and finally, the soaking wet shirt, it looks like Taylor started a trend! Billy Burke Joins Nic Cage In Drive Angry

Twihards, get ready to scream in appreciation – for Twilight star Billy Burke has joined the cast of the bonkers-sounding Nic Cage car chase movie, Drive Angry.
Well, actually, the Twilight-loving hordes might not be too bothered about this one, as Burke merely plays Bella Swan’s dad, Charlie, and therefore isn’t abs-tastic or pecced up to the max, but it’s still an indicator that a role in the vampire franchise can give even its supporting actors something of a career boost.
Burke will play a charismatic, and possibly villainous, cult leader in the Patrick Lussier-directed film, in which Cage will play a vengeful father chasing his daughter’s killer – and his grandchild’s kidnapper – through the desert in a car chase that, essentially, will be movie long.
William Fichtner and Amber Heard are also on board the movie, which starts filming next month in Shreveport.
Lussier co-wrote the script with Todd Farmer, while Michael De Luca will produce. The 3D movie comes out on Feb 11, 2011. Frankly, we can't wait - start revving those engines now…
